Tamayo Marukawa, a current member of Japan’s parliament, is expected to join the online event on February 15.
Tamayo Marukawa, former Minister of the Environment of Japan and currently a member of the Japanese Upper House of Parliament, is expected to deliver the keynote address at the upcoming ATMOsphere Japan 2021 online conference (organized by shecco, publisher of this website) February 15.
“For several years, the ATMOsphere platform has played an important role in reducing emissions in the global HVAC&R industry,” said Marukawa. “As a member of the Japanese parliament, I am delighted and honored to deliver the keynote address for the conference in Japan this year to share our perspective on this important environmental initiative in our country.”
Marukawa also served as Japan’s environment minister from 2015 to 2016. During that time, she delivered a statement at the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP 21) in Paris in 2015, in which she acknowledged that “by strengthening the development of innovative technological solutions, Japan will strongly support global climate action.

Marukawa was first elected to her position in the Japanese Parliament in July 2007. She has since held several positions and was re-elected for a second term in 2013 and then again for a third term in July 2019.
