PHL-Japan Environment Week to Hold Seminar, Exhibition and Business Matchmaking

THE Ministry of Environment-Japan (MOEJ), in partnership with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), is currently hosting the first-ever Philippines-Japan Environment Week, which will discuss environmental issues and share opportunities for cooperation towards a carbon-free infrastructure and society.

With keynote speakers and participants from the public and private sectors from both countries, the gathering provides opportunities to discuss environmental issues and share innovative and emerging environmental solutions. Participants from the public and private sectors, research and academic institutions, international and regional bodies, as well as non-governmental organizations have been invited to join the webinars, exhibitions and business matchmaking events to be held until March 4.

Ambassador Kazuhiko Koshikawa was scheduled to host webinar participants on the Joint Crediting Mechanism, Climate Adaptation and Improving Climate Change Transparency in three separate seminars, with two plenary sessions on action towards low-carbon and resilient societies and city-to-city collaboration.

The online Business Matching and Exhibition held until March 4 allows attendees to learn about environmentally friendly technologies and solutions via a dedicated exhibitor event webpage, where one-on-one communications with exhibitors, as well as videos showing their technologies and other useful information, are available.
