Uttarakhand CM speaks with Japanese officials


Aiming to boost economic ties with Japan, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami held meetings on Tuesday with officials from the Japanese Embassy, ​​Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO).

According to a statement released by the Uttarakhand Department of Information, the year 2022 is special for bilateral relations between India and Japan as the two countries are celebrating the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations.

Welcoming the delegates from Japan, Rajiv Pratap Rudy, Chairman of the Forum of Parliamentarians of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), said that Uttarakhand offers many investment opportunities. Rohit Meena, Managing Director and Commissioner for Industries, presented a report explaining the potential for trade and investment between Uttarakhand and Japan in various sectors. MPs and MPs from Uttarakhand also participated in the meetings.

BVRC Agriculture Secretary Purushottam has listed the state’s organic produce that can be exported. The dialogue invited collaboration among stakeholders from government, industry, academia and policy experts to enable focused discussion on galvanizing socio-economic, cultural and people-to-people ties between Uttarakhand and Japan. .
